Muhd is the cathartic expatriate blues of Samuel Vaney (Cortez, Consor), born of moving from his native Switzerland to Singapore. His first release Dilogia is a study of contrasts within saturated fog; nostalgic, heart-rending ambient melody coloured with shoegaze and prog rock, haunted by tension and sadness. From the opening ice floor of Severing to the corrosive guitar of Kychtym, Dilogia is a 40-minute perpetual climax that travels through rain, dream, travel, relationships and inertia.
