Since years, C. is building his own galaxy in secret under an armada of monikers and false identities, sometimes just for a day ... sometimes for years. A relentless craftsmen work (the asteroid belt of 48 releases in 2023) that C. prefer to keep quiet. I do not want to create confusion. Today we present his debut album under the name Ressac inspired by his near ritual and weekly hiking on the GR34, a famous trail that follows the coastline of Brittany in northwestern France. Émeute is an ode to the wilderness, to the power of stones accumulated during centuries, to the strength of the sea, to that riot of emotions that such place conveys in him. Six tracks of lo-fi drone that flirts with ambient, austere as the impressing cliffs of Côtes d'Armor, eroded by waves and solemn as the ancestral energy surrounding this territory. Yet Émeute is not an in-situ work, and focus on the lasting impressions that such place imprints on our soul, a post-contemplative music reminding us that life is not a championship ... at the end its just an album about hiking
